My wife and I are starting a garden for the first time this year. We originally were just planning to do transplants for everything, but a family member gifted us some of her favorite seeds and we’ve had some luck germinating them! Work is busy so we are not babysitting them as much as we should, but excited to see what makes it.

In January 2025, a measles outbreak erupted on the western edge of Texas and soon spilled over to New Mexico and other states. The overall outbreak would become the largest the country has seen since 2000, when measles was declared eliminated from the US. In Texas, it was the largest outbreak recorded since 1992. And in New Mexico, it was the first measles outbreak the state had even seen since 1996.

Not a soulslike, but my fiancée and I have picked up Resident Evil Village and are having fun with that. Well, at least she is, watching me. :D Got a PS5 copy that’s been acting up for some reason: constant crashing of the game make it near unplayable. Like 10-15 crashes per play session unplayable. Downloaded the game on PC and rushed up until where we got on PS5 - might play some later. Other than that, Slay the Spire 2 has me in its iron grip.

The one in red has a red beaded necklace with a large red orb with gold highlights. They are moving leftwards. The one in green is pointing left. The one in red is carrying the trailing cloak of the one in green. Their beaked visages are obscured by the cloth of their robes. Their posture is dramatically stooped under the weight of their neck encumberances. Their feet are bent in motion. The wind wlows their robes rightwards. They are tatered from wear and travel.

Rep. Finke Was Right: Age-Gating Isn’t About Kids, It’s About Control (eff.org)

Community iconc/technology@lemmy.zip by

Rep. Finke, an openly transgender lawmaker, next raised a point that her critics have since tried to distort: age-verification laws like the Minnesota bill are already being used to block young LGBTQ+ people from exercising their First Amendment rights to access information that may be educational, affirming, or life-saving. Referencing the Supreme Court case Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton, she noted that state attorneys general have been “almost jubilant” about the ability to use these laws to restrict queer youth from accessing content. “We know that ‘prurient interest’ could be for many people, the very existence of transgender kids,” she added, referring to the malleable legal standard that would govern what content must be age-gated under the law.
